In eighteenth century Romania, Rayne, a dhampir (half-human, half-vampire), prone to fits of blind blood rage but saddled with a compunction for humans, strives to avenge her mother's rape by her father, Kagan, King of Vampires. Two vampire hunters, Sebastian and Vladimir, from the Brimstone Society persuade her to join their cause.
In the Eighteenth Century, Rayne is the half-human half-vampire Dhampir and the lead attraction in a carnival's freak-show in Romania. When she escapes, she meets a fortuneteller that tells that her mother was raped by the king of the vampires Kagan and she decides to destroy her father. In her journey for revenge, she meets Vladimir and Sebastian, the leaders of the fortress of vampire hunters Brimstone, and she joins their society. She seeks for powerful talismans to defeat Kagan, while the skilled warriors Vladimir and Sebastian train her to face the forces of Kagan and her human side falls in love with Sebastian.
I saw this movie the night before it opened in Dothan AL. This movie sucks, well it did to me any way. But, to be fair I didn't play the video game so I wasn't sure what was going on during the movie as far as the story was concerned. But, as a plus the lead actress was a total fox. The only reason I suffered through this movie was for her and her awesome sex scene. Other than that one scene this movie was a bust. Only die-hard fans of either the game or of Kristanna Loken(T3) need watch this movie. The movie didn't have a vary good flow to it. The attempts at some flashbacks were vary confusing to watch, not being able to tell when they end and the present action continues.
Me, being of fan of the Bloodrayne video game, Personllay I like Bloodrayne 2. I went to go see Bloodrayne The Movie.<br/><br/>NOTE:Normally, When I write a review for a movie, I try to keep to like A G-Rated or A PG Rated, Because I respect the fact that young people are visiting this website as well, If my review is bad, I apologize for that.<br/><br/>I thought Bloodrayne The Movie was really good.<br/><br/>I thought that the movie stay true to the video game.<br/><br/>I really thought Kristanna Loken was great as Bloodrayne. Michelle Rodriguez was good for the role of Katarin, Michael Madsen was good too Matthew Davis was tough as Sebastian Ben Kingsley was a good actor to play Kagan.<br/><br/>I always been a huge fan of video games. I have a lot of favorite games.<br/><br/>I also like some movies based on video games.<br/><br/>Bloodrayne is one of the few video game based movies that I like.<br/><br/>This movie had a lot of blood. I like the fighting scenes and the story was well written.<br/><br/>Also it was cool to see Kristanna Loken naked. Yes, a lot of nudes in this movie.<br/><br/>Bloodrayne attack her friends at the beginning of the movie and she just couldn&#39;t believe it.<br/><br/>There&#39;s one part where Bloodrayne attacked a pack of vampires who were attacking a family, so the family took her to the village nearby. When she arrive in the village, she attack a female vampire after playing a trick.<br/><br/>I thought the fight scenes Between Bloodrayne and Kagen was great.<br/><br/>All in all an great video game based movie and a great vampire movie.<br/><br/>I&#39;m going to buy Bloodrayne when it comes out on DVD.<br/><br/>Anyone who say this movie is bad, Like the saying I said In my Review For &quot;G.I.Joe The Movie&quot;, Don&#39;t judge people until you give them a chance. There are all sorts of noteworthy people in this silly vampire epic, including acting greats Sir Ben Kingsley and Geraldine Chaplin, but the only artist this critic wants to heap praise upon is the regrettably unidentified Supervisor of Blood Splatter: Nice work, dude.

A third movie, <a href="/title/tt1153546/">BloodRayne: The Third Reich (2011)</a> (2010) also went direct-to-video Yes, completely. The original game is about a dhampir named Rayne who works for the Brimstone society during World War II-era Germany. She battles monsters, vampires, and Nazis along the way; each step brings her closer to battling her father Kagan, a powerful vampire responsible for her mother&#39;s death. The movie version is set in 18h century Romania, where the Brimstone society recruits Rayne to aid them in battling Kagan. Yes. Boll paid them 150 euros each for participating in a scene shared with Meat Loaf. That was revealed in the Stockholm Film Festival by the director himself. In the USA two versions of the movie have been released: an R-rated and unrated version. The unrated version differs from the R-rated version in three violent scenes and contains an alternate ending as well.
